The ability to quiet or calm yourself (Skill 2) is one of the most important relational skills you can develop for your long term mental, emotional, and physical health. However, for most of us, it can be challenging to find peace and calm in the midst of life’s busyness and stresses. Thankfully, this is a skill anyone can develop with some guidance and practice!

 

Join Chris Coursey for this 90-minute Skill 2 Practice Class as he takes you by the hand and coaches you on how to develop your ability to calm yourself. Chris will give a brief teaching on the importance of Skill 2 and then lead you through a series of exercises that you will practice during the class and discuss with others in breakout rooms.

What To Expect

This class will be held as a group meeting in Zoom. Upon registering, you will receive a Zoom link which you will use to join the class on the day of. When you click on the link, you will enter a waiting room until the meeting begins. Once you are admitted, you will be welcomed and given instructions for the meeting. 

For each exercise in this class, Chris will give a very brief explanation on why the exercise is important and then lead you in the exercise so you can practice it on the spot. Then you will discuss or practice further in small groups. 

If you are attending this event solo, we will add you to a breakout room with other attendees. Or you can encourage friends from various locations to register and request to be placed in a breakout room together. Groups of 3 are ideal.
