God designed us as emotional beings meant to live primarily in joy and peace. But the reality is that unpleasant emotions, like fear or shame, often come and trip us up.
When our brains don’t know how to identify and process our emotions, we often do things like pretend they aren’t there, fall apart under them, or turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms. But there’s hope because our brains can learn new patterns!
