Chris Coursey

THRIVEtoday President

For nearly 25 years Chris has been developing and practicing brain-based solutions to make relationships work. He started out his career specializing in severe trauma and abuse. For a number of years he also pastored a small congregation in Michigan. Chris is a published author with ten books in print, including “The Joy Switch: How Your Brain’s Secret Circuit Affects Your Relationships…And How You Can Activate It.” He co-authored his most recent book, “The 4 Habits of Raising Joy-Filled Kids”.

Chris enjoys spending time with Jen and their two sons, Matthew and Andrew. In addition to studying, writing, jogging and exercising, he enjoys the outdoors and is one of the rare people who actually likes the snow. 

Jen Coursey

Executive Director

Jen is passionate about seeing mothers, fathers and families equipped with the 19 relational skills needed to thrive. As the mother of 2 active boys, Jen is grateful to have learned these important skills later in life as relational skills have no doubt preserved her sanity and prepared her to raise a thriving family in the midst of the ongoing demands from her family and her ministry.

Jen started the Thriving Mamas blog and is excited to share her parenting and life experiences as well as pass on the skills God has used to transform her life. 

Kristy Harrang

Operations Manger | Donor Relations Coordinator

Kristy grew up in the California Bay Area, but spent 17 years in Seattle, WA working with her husband Nik in ministry and raising four kids. She returned to California in 2017 and has been working remotely with the THRIVEtoday team since 2020. One of her greatest passions is seeing people transformed by Jesus in all areas of life and living a life fully surrendered to Him. She loves to spend time with her husband and kiddos and enjoys healthy cooking, sunshine, and listening to worship music. 

Shannon Campau

Weekend Event Coordinator | Inventory Manager | Thrive Email Manager

Shannon is married to her best friend Timothy and lives in West Michigan.  She loves to bring joy to everything she participates in.  She is honored to be working with THRIVEtoday as a team member and enjoys helping to bring the message of Thriving in joy to others.  She is a gardener, plays a lot of volleyball, is an artist and worships the Heavenly Father through dance.   

Nicola Olsen

Marketing | Online Event Admin

Nicola is from the UK, is married to a Seahawks fanatic whom she met in Montana, and they have 4 busy kids. Before joining Thrive, her family spent 17 years in Missions with most of their country count covering Europe and Asia. She currently resides in Pennsylvania as her husband is in seminary. Nicola is uniquely both creative and organized! She loves traveling, sci-fi, cross-stitching and Chinese food.

Kami Ricks

Premier Event Coordinator

Kāmi has spent her life traveling the world as the daughter of and then as the wife of a military member. Now she is enjoying putting her roots down in Texas with her husband in retirement. They have two children, a son and a daughter, and two dogs, a Yorkie and a standard Poodle.  She loves living in and learning about other cultures and people. She finds joy in good books, great coffee, and gregarious conversation. Kāmi is delighted and thankful to be a part of the THRIVEtoday team working to coordinate the 5-Day Thrive Premier Training Events!

Lizabet Nix

Course Coordinator

Lizabet lives in North Carolina with her husband Michael and has been volunteering with Thrive since 2019. After serving in lay ministry for ten years, she encountered The Life Model and THRIVE, a discipleship model that brought about lasting change. She is passionate about relational skills and leads online groups that walk with friends to explore and develop the missing pieces to experiencing the abundant life Jesus promises.

She brings the lens of creativity to most everything she’s involved in and is energized by design, art, music, and literature. One of her favorite ways to build community is to host gatherings with international cuisine and good conversation.

Lindsay Knitt

Bookkeeper

Lindsay lives in Wisconsin with her husband and spends most of her time trying to keep up with their four kids.  She delights in numbers and a well-organized spreadsheet and is happy she gets to use that part of her brain while working with THRIVEtoday.  When she manages to make time, she loves strategy board games, skiing and quilting.

Jen Coursey

Jen Coursey is a mother of two active boys, Matthew and Andrew, as well as a speaker, blogger, brain skills trainer, co-creator of Thrive Training, co-creator of Thriving Marriage Weekends and co-author of the 30 Days of Joy for Busy Married Couples book with her husband Chris. Jen writes a weekly blog detailing how to use critical relational skills in marriage and family life.
